Dilihat dari liriknya, ini seperti curahan hati seorang wanita yang membenci dan mencintai seorang cowok diwaktu yang sama. Atau lebih tepatnya, seorang wanita yang membenci dirinya karena mencintai seorang cowok yang justru mencintai wanita lain. Hal bodoh yang selalu dilakukannya hanyalah melihat cowok itu melihat pada wanita tersebut, seperti menyatakan bahwa hanya ia yang menjadi pusat perhatiannya saat ini. Bahkan cowok itu tak sadar bahwa ada nih, orang lain yang mencintai dia dengan tulus dan setia menunggu dia sampai dia merasa bahwa semua hal ini secara perlahan akan membunuh dia.
Pertama kali dengar lagu ini dari instagram. Tepatnya ketika gue enggak sengaja mengubek-ubek instagram dari salah satu artis yang ngetop di instagram, yaitu "Awkarin". Sebenarnya, enggak tertarik banget pas awal-awal dengar, soalnya cuman sekilas doang. Terus, entah kenapa, gue kalau dikampus sering menyenandungkan lagu itu dengan deheman yang akhirnya buat gue mikir, itu lagu punya siapa ya sampai gue ngerasa melekat banget. Akhirnya gue penasaran dong. Dan kembali berkutat lagi sama om google buat tau judul lagunya doang.
Lagunya I Hate You I Love You merupakan lagu yang paling sering gue dengar setiap gue lagi bosan atau ngehidupin musik. Semakin lama gue makin suka sama lagunya, nah mulai tuh cari liriknya (karena gue cuman hapal bagian reffnya doang). Gue baca tuh liriknya sambil dengerin lagunya, dan seketika gue ngerasa makna lagu yang sesungguhnya. Gue semakin jatuh sejatuh-jatuhnya sama lagu ini. Apalagi ketika lirik yang menyatakan bahwa aku melihat ke arahmu dan kamu melihat ke arahnya seperi hanya dia satu-satunya cewek yang kamu temukan. Huaa, gue ngerasa itu lagu buat gue galau setengah mampus.
Lagunya ini menyuarakan hati gue banget. Wkwk
